Today I'm pondering dry hair. Hair color, natural curl, and living in the second driest state in the union means fried hair for Leslie. I find myself gazing longingly at the hair commercials and the girls' shiny, smooth, flowing hair. I can't be too jealous because my hair is so EASY---wash, condition, put in a little cream and go. Problem is I have very little control over whether or not it's going to be a bad hair day. The more I manipulate the style of my hair the worse it looks. I have found a few saving graces to calm the frizz I thought I could share;
1. shower in purified water.
2. switch up moisturizing shampoos and conditioners.
3. dry hair with a t-shirt instead of a towel.
4. switch up hair creams, serums, and watery gels--- sometimes even using body lotion.
5. put in product at the precise moment---not too wet, not too dry.
My fav. new trick is putting a drop of lavender oil in my conditioner.
Some of the girls I work with at an Aveda use the Aveda Beautifying jojoba composition oil for their dry hair. It's first note is lavender. Why specifically do you use lavender?
